The road ahead

We can't keep saying "this is our favourite picture" but when you see such cracking shots as this you send up a quiet prayer that the negatives have survived more than half a century - and in such good condition. This is, of course, the end of Wasdale and one of a number of shots of cars driving along a road winding into the distance. What more needs to be said about such an excellent picture?.
